Girls, I Need Your Help!

Talin with his mum, Cassandra
A beautiful little boy named Talin from my daughters year at school has been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. His final wish is to feel normal again and to have fun with his friends, so a spectacular 'carnival' themed 6th Birthday Party is being organized.

How can you help? I would like to organize for handmade felt crowns and tiaras be made for all the children that attend, there is going to be around 100 children, so I need a lot. Any extras after the party will be given to the Hospital where Talin is at the moment.

Now girls, we can't let this party be without a little bit of handmade goodness, can we?

The party is on Saturday 2 June. So we don't have much time.

The plan is if you would like to help make some please email me  and I will send you a template, plus instructions on how to make them. The colors you use and how you choose to decorate them is entirely up to, since it's a carnival theme I think this will work well, so long as they are all made from the same template and out of felt. To make sure we have enough for both girls and boys, I will ask that you please make half for girls and half for boys, so if you want to make 4 in total, you'll be making 2 girls and 2 boys.
Just to give you an idea of what I am meaning, here is a picture of some unfinished girls tiaras I made. A good option for boys is to just have a big star in the middle.

If you can spare some time to make a few and can have them sent to me in Sydney by Friday 1 June please email me. Thanks so much for helping a gorgeous boy, have a very special birthday party. Also, I just thought I should mention my children have not been invited to the party, and I do not know the family personally. I am just trying to do my bit to make this beautiful little boy have the most special day as possible.

To find out more about Talin's Wish visit his page on facebook, make sure you have some tissues handy!

Would love to help but there is no way mine would get there in time. I hope the whole thing goes great guns and the Carnivale is spectacular.

This is a sitiation very close to our community at the moment. My thoughts are with Cassandra and Talin. www.headsmart.org.uk
