My Sewing Machine is Sick!

She has had to go to hospital and they say that she has to stay seven nights, and that it should be OK for her to come home again on Friday. I miss her terribly!
I spent the last week getting together my thoughts and a plan of attack on where to start with all my projects, and it all has to wait a little longer now...

I borrowed Cool Spaces for Kids from my local library and as soon as I get my machine back I'm going to make this gorgeous house for my dining table. I also borrowed Material Obsession 1 and 2 - my goodness they are inspiring - mostly in the to hard basket for me. But there are a couple that I think I can cope with. Oh and I bought myself the latest Cath Kidston Sew! - it should arrive this week - can't wait!

So what have you been reading lately? Any recommendations?

Thanks to eveyone that has entered my giveaway so far - your comments were so sweet!

No sewing machine! Perfect time then to do a little hand sewing! Felt cups and saucers for your dining table house? perhaps a few hand sewn softies to live in the house? or a 0's & X's pouch to play with in the house? Seems likely you could be quite busy between now and Friday!!

Do you think we should send flowers?

Oh, poor sewing machine! Handsewing seems to be the answer, or do you knit or crochet? (I admit I don't...). I am getting out more handsewing as autumn arrives here - I am not a summer needlewoman, I have discovered...

That table house is fantastic. My sister and I made so many impromptu dens like that as children.

Hi Stacey, I just found your reply from the other day! Would you be able to make a bit of bunting for Emily? I loved your fairy party and would love some bunting for Emilys birthday in December. We like red, blue, white and pink. It only needs to be a short bit to go across a window or something. Kate x

The white cubby house looks great - I have fabric here (humm - it has been in the cupboard for over a year now) to make a bright one for the kids - planning on making it to go on the picnic table outside. Should really do it:)

Hope that you get your machine back today:)

Hmmm, your reading list is looking mighty familiar. I love that Cool Spaces book - it is the puppet theatre that is at the top of my list!

Hi Stacey, just found your blog and am enjoying it :o) Your gingerbread house is so pretty. Did you make the table tent yet? My MIL made us one a few years back and it's so much fun.
