A Hat And A Package

So I whipped this hat up last night and I am wrapped with it - it fits Baby J like a glove! I found an old hat that I liked when he was newborn and traced a bigger outline around it. What a fluke, that it worked so well. If anyone is interested I might make a tutorial up for it. They would make lovely gifts in merino. I also made a pattern for a long sleeve kimono top for him, but I didn't have the guts to sew it up to see if it worked. It's going to require me to make some binding out of the fabric, which seems like a bit to much hard work, hopefully tonight I'll get some inspiration to finish it off.
Look what I got in the post this morning! My beautiful prize from the fabulous blog Two Little Banshees. I won the loveliest "In a Spin" quilt pattern and five pieces of fabric, I love it! Thanks so much Kate. And look at that gorgeous note card Kate made. So simple yet so effective! Love it!

Hi Stacey. Love the little hat, so cute. Hope he keeps it on now it's so cold!

If you need any help with the binding just let me know. Iron the folds first, making sure the centre section is even. You'll be fine. Look forward to seeing the finished product.

Lucky you winning all those lovely fabrics, aren't they so beautiful? Hope you use them soon so we can see.

Hi Stacy
Many thanks for your sweet comment on my blog :o)
Yours is Gorgeous! so fresh and colourful!
In answer to your question, I used acrylic paints on my pebbles. I buy large tubes of white, red, yellow, blue, and mix colours from there (cuts down on expense). Also pva glue works well for varnishing them, hope this helps and happy painting :o) If you so any I'd love to see them
