My Creative Space...

So I am usually really lazy when it comes to the backing of my quilts, but I couldn't find a good matching fabric for the back so I had to go with white. I didn't want just a plain white back so I sewed up another strip the same as the front and will sew it so that it sits to the right of the quilt. But the problem is, how do I quilt it so that it looks OK from the back? I wasn't sure how to do this so, with pins I went through every corner and matched them up with the corner on the back. Does anyone know if there is a better way?

Ok, I'm a newbie quilter so hopefully you'll have more experienced advice than mine. But could you just echo quilt, maybe 1/4 inch from each seam, that way, because you've placed the backing exactly over the squares in front, it'll look the same both front and back. Am I making sense? Probably not. Anyway, I love your quilt.

I wish I could help but I am such a noob when it comes to quilting. I have only made 1 little pram quilt and it wasn't the most perfect creation. I hope to one day make a big quilt for our bed.

i'll be watching to see what you decide on.. i have another quilt in the makings, of which i will do a white background too i think. i may use red quilting threads to make the design 'pop' out.

love the gray and reds.
