A Good Start

I have started one of my quilts and it's turning out so pretty - which isn't hard when your using Tanya Whelan fabric.
I bought ten, 15cm strips of my favourite designs last year in Melbourne. It's so nice to work with different fabric and make up my own design with this quilt. I think I will do a 3 1/2 inch white border around it, and then a 5 inch pale blue border, and then do binding in a deep pink. And now sitting here on the sofa looking at it on the floor I see that I have made a mistake and need to move the pale blue stripe on the bottom right hand corner - bugger!
PS don't ask how the blinds are going...

very pretty! Don't you hate it when you spot a mistake once you've sewn it all up. However if you hadn't said anything I probably wouldn't have noticed!

Beautiful quilt! Thanks for your comment, I went around the Onehunga sales, and then another one in Mt. Wellington... It's always a challenge to get there before the serious collectors!
