Today I started working on a bookmark for my husbands dad for fathers day. I got each of my kids to draw a picture and I will embroider them onto the linen. This idea is from Amanda Blake Soule'sHandmade Home book.
Hello :) That is such an awesome father's day present. After my poppa died I was looking through his old books and he'd kept all of the bookmarks I'd made him (there were a lot!) in his special books.
Sounds like a great book. Your bookmark is off to a lovely start and I am sure will be treasured. Good luck with knitting. I tried a couple of times but it felt clumsy. Crochet to me is soooo much easier. But those who knit think otherwise. I'm always amazed when folks can do it all -- crochet, knit, sew, paint, collage, draw. Wish my brain worked that way. Have a great day. Tammy
That is a very sweet idea, I'm sure he will treasure it.
